Gajananam bhoothaganadi sevitham

Kapittha jamboo phalasara bhakshitam

 Umasutham shoka vinasha kaaranam

Namaami Vighneswara paada pankajam

 

 

To the elephant-faced one,served by the hordes of ganas

Who loves the wood-apple and the juice of the rose-apple

Who is the son of Uma and the destroyer of sorrow

I bow to the lotus feet of this Vighneswara, the lord of obstacles

 

Nithaanthakaanthadanthakaanthim anthakaanthamaathmajam

Achinthyaroopam anthaheenam antharaayakrinthanam

Hridanthare nirantharam vasanthameva yoginaam

Thamekadantemeva tham vichinthayaami santhatham

 

 

To him who is adorned with shining ivory teeth

And is the son of Shiva the destroyer of Yama

Whose infinite form is beyond Man’s comprehesion

Who is the destroyer of obstacles and is ever present in the hearts of Yogis

On him with the single tusk do I contemplate and meditate always
