A month-old civet is bottle-fed at CWRC
A displaced rhino calf that was reunited with its mother
This one-month-old palm civet was found near a road in Kohora, Kaziranga NP by a forest guard.  Brought to the Centre for Wildlife Rehabilitation and Conservation (CWRC) in a severely stressed and dehydrated state, it is now doing much better on a diet of fruit, milk and eggs.

Found trapped in garden ditch at a tea garden adjoining Haldibari Reserve Forest, this greater one-horned rhino calf, was rescued and successfuly reunited with its mother, by Assam Forest Department officials assisted by the IFAW-WTI Mobile Veterinary Service (MVS) team.

A Burmese rock python being measured at CWRC

A Bengal monitor lizard that was confiscated from traders in a market at Kokrajhar town, Bodoland. It was examined by the IFAW-WTI MVS Lower Assam unit and released at the nearby Chakrasila WLS.

CWRC veterinarians measure a Burmese rock python, transferred to the centre by the DFO who received the reptile from a villager who had caught it near Dipholu Pathar near Kaziranga NP. The python was released in Kaziranga.

Barn owls under care at the MVS Upper Assam field station
An injured common palm civet enroute recovery at CWRC. Severely injured in conflict with people at Morkolong, Bengenahati village, the civet was rescued by the Forest Department staff and brought to CWRC along with its two kittens.

A pair of barn owl chicks at the MVS Upper Assam field station. The chicks which suffered a nest fall were found near Dibru Saikhowa Wildlife Sanctuary and are being hand-raised at the field station.

A Malayan box turtle confiscated from people at Bhalukjhor near Chakrasila WLS. The turtle was examined by the IFAW-WTI MVS Lower Assam veterinarian and released on July 13.

IFAW-WTI veterinarian Dr Anil Deka attends to a sub-adult elephant in Golaghat, Assam. The elephant had a septic wound on its leg. It was provided in situ treatment and released.
