LAND USE PLANNING (LUP)

This division implements ecologically sustainable land-use planning in areas of high human-animal conflict and areas central to wildlife conservation.

Its basic objectives are;

  • To identify areas of high human-wildlife conflict and examine the land use pattern in the region.
  • To plan and suggest proper land use of the identified habitat in consultation with various stake holders.
To influence the government to have a landscape approach for implementing the improvised land use planning (LUP) in these crucial wildlife habitats from further habitat degradation and fragmentation.
