The process of RAP:
Once a proposal (presented in the format prescribed below) is received, the RAP team will process it in accordance with a standardized format. The proposal is circulated amongst the RAP team to gather views of all the members. In case there is need for more information, the RAP team consults specialists on the proposal. The team may get back to the applicant for further clarifications. After this, the proposal is presented to WTI’s RAP panel for its decision. The panel evaluates and gives comments towards acceptance or rejection of the proposal. The decision of the panel is communicated to the applicant/s. If a project is accepted, the proposer has to sign an agreement after which money/equipment etc. are released for work to begin.

The proposal is sanctioned. What next?
An agreement (as per format) is to be signed and submitted to WTI. A project inception report should be sent to WTI within one month after the project approval/money is received.

Mid-term technical progress and financial reports are to be submitted. These are necessary for the release of the balance amount that has been put aside for the project. Please note that WTI passes on the project’s funds in installments. A final technical and financial report must be submitted, as per an approved time schedule, after completion of the work. The WTI team will evaluate the project either by visiting the project site, by appointing local partners to do so and/or discussing it directly with the applicant. Also, the financial support given by WTI must be acknowledged in all reports and publications.
