WTI
staff part of Indian delegation to CITES
New Delhi, April 16, 2002: During
the year, WTI continued to provide support to CITES
issues. WTI attended two CITES Standing Committees meetings
(Paris and Geneva), one Animals Committee meeting in
the United States. WTI personnel were on the Indian
delegation.
Two members of WTI were the part of the Indian delegation
for the meeting of the Conference of Parties (COP-12)
which was held in Santiago, Chile in November 2002.
Wildlife Trust of India will expand this programme
substantially during 2002-03 with additional focus on
policy issues of wildlife conservation
