Forest Guard with KitAnti-Poaching Kit Distribution

New Delhi, August 18, 2000: The first kit distribution, combined with the Law Enforcement Training Workshop, took place between August 9-17, 2000 at the Corbett Wildlife Training Centre in Kalagarh, on the edge of the Corbett Tiger Reserve.

The workshop trained 88 Rangers, forest guards, and temporary workers of the Sonanadi Wildlife Sanctuary as well as some of the honorary wildlife warden's of Uttar Pradesh. The training was done in collaboration with the Wildlife Protection Society of India(WPSI) and included lawyers, instructors from the armed forces and experts from the Wildlife Institute of India(WII).
